Parliament approves the revision of the TVDE law in the final global vote
The largest ever revision of law 45/2018 was approved with votes in favour from the PSD, CDS-PP, Chega and JPP. Taxis will be able to operate on the platforms, a command of Portuguese becomes mandatory for drivers, the dynamic pricing cap is scrapped and fines for companies rise to 44,000 euros. Next come the final drafting, promulgation and publication in the official gazette (Diário da República).

Lisbon City Council signed a protocol with Uber and Bolt that prohibits starting and ending trips on central axes such as Avenida da Liberdade and Marquês de Pombal and defines pick-up and drop-off areas. It is a municipal rule, distinct from the national law.
